White Rabbit: a review of the game

In the world of online slots, White Rabbit is unique. In most cases, companies create slot machines with the intention of licensing them to multiple casinos. The same can be observed in land-based casinos. If you go into a real casino, you can see Buffalo machines almost everywhere. Most online casinos do the same. The company develops the game and then several companies license it. But the White Rabbit slot from Megaways is different.

Theme

The theme of the slot is a reference to Alice in Wonderland. However, due to some legal action concerning the alleged marketing of these slot machines to minors, Big Time Gaming is positioning it as an adult version of the Alice in Wonderland tale.

Nevertheless, when you boot up this slot, one thing is clear – the attention to detail is fantastic. The graphics and animation in the backdrop of Wonderland are beautiful. You’ll see the caterpillar on the left and the trees surrounding the paylines. Even though this game is a bit dated, the graphics are still very good!

The gameplay is

Playing White Rabbit is pretty straightforward. All you have to do is set the desired bet amount and press the spin button.

One of the nice things about this game is that it has plenty of automatic spin options. If you don’t want to keep pressing the spin button, you can set the game to spin automatically – 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100.

What’s also nice about the automatic spin feature is that you can set a loss limit and a single win limit. So in theory you could set the slot to spin automatically 100 times and bet $1 per spin, but stop spinning if you lose $50.

Symbols and Bonus Features

This game is one of the most challenging in terms of all the symbols and features available. Twelve symbols can be encountered to begin with: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, green stone, blue stone, red stone and red queen.

The white rabbit acts as a scatter symbol and there are also wild symbols. The cupcake symbol appears during the free spins. There are two other bonus features you may encounter – the caterpillar and the scatter.

The caterpillar appears at random times and will add up to four bonus jokers to the screen. Bonus jokers act like normal jokers, except that they have a multiplier of x2 or x3, depending on which symbols you encounter on the reels.

There’s also a scatter or free spins bonus. When you see 3 white rabbits on winning lines, you’ll get 15 free spins. These are very similar to the regular spins.

When you see a cupcake symbol on any reel, the reel is increased by one and the game replaces the cupcake symbol with two new ones. There are usually four symbols on the reel. In the bonus game, each reel can be increased by up to 12 symbols.

RTP and volatility

The amount of Return to Player (RTP) varies slightly depending on whether or not the casino Feature Drop is enabled. If Feature Drop is disabled, the RTP is an impressive 97.24%. This is higher than most other online slots. However, with Feature Drop enabled, the RTP ranges from 97.24% to a whopping 97.77%.

As for volatility, no official figures are published. However, given that the maximum winnings are 17,420 times the bet amount, and there are 248,832 ways to win in this feature and 16,807 ways to win in the main game, it is clear that this slot is highly volatile.
